| What to Do: |
| 1. |
Combine sugar, milk, butter, peanut butter, and cocoa in a large pot on the stove. |

Bring to a boil and let boil for 90 seconds. (Ask an adult’s help with the stovetop tasks.) |

Remove from heat. |
| 4. |
Stir in oats and vanilla. |
| 5. |
Beat thoroughly with a hand-held electric beater. (The large oats should break down into smaller bits.) |
| 6. |
Cover a cookie sheet with waxed paper. |
| 7. |
Spread mixture evenly on the covered pan – not too thin. |

Chill overnight and cut into squares. |
